Saturday, 11th April 2026

Venue: CCC Elephant and Castle Parish, London

The CCC UK Diocese Management Committee held a landmark meeting with women representatives from various groups and ministries across the United Kingdom on Saturday, 11th April 2026. The meeting, hosted at CCC Elephant and Castle Parish, London, recorded an impressive turnout, reflecting the unity, commitment, and shared vision among the women of the Diocese.

The session commenced with an opening speech delivered by VSE Ayo Osho JP, which set a focused and inspiring tone for the deliberations. This was preceded by an opening prayer led by MC Bola Sounde from Manchester. While not all members of the CCC UK Diocese Management Committee were physically present, the Committee was fully and adequately represented, underscoring the importance attached to this engagement.

PURPOSE OF THE MEETING

The primary objective of the meeting was to clearly communicate the aims and aspirations of the Management Committee towards the growth and advancement of the Diocese. It also served as a platform to foster collaboration, strengthen relationships, and encourage active participation of women in the developmental agenda of the Church.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS AND DISCUSSIONS

1. Unity

The importance of unity across all women’s groups and ministries was strongly emphasized. Participants were encouraged to work cohesively, setting aside differences to achieve collective progress for the Diocese.

2. Constructive Suggestions

The Management Committee welcomed constructive ideas and contributions from all attendees. Women were encouraged to share their insights and experiences, recognizing their invaluable role in shaping effective strategies for growth.

3. Regular Meetings

The need for consistent and structured engagements was highlighted. Regular meetings between the Management Committee and women’s groups were proposed to ensure continuity, accountability, and sustained progress.

4. Programs and Initiatives

Discussions were held on developing impactful programs that would contribute to spiritual, social, and organizational growth within the Diocese. Women were urged to actively participate and take leadership roles in these initiatives.

5. Preservation of Ministries

It was clearly stated that there is no intention to disband any existing ministry. Rather, the goal is to strengthen all groups and ensure they function effectively within a unified diocesan framework.

ROLE OF WOMEN IN DEVELOPMENT

The meeting reaffirmed the critical role women play in the development of every society. The CCC UK Diocese is no exception. Women, as pillars of families, communities, and the Church, bring wisdom, experience, and stability that are essential for sustainable growth. Their contributions remain indispensable to the progress and success of the Diocese.

CLARIFICATION OF INTENT

The Management Committee made it clear that it does not seek to promote or impose any particular group, nor to give preferential recognition to any ministry. Instead, the appeal is to all women—our mothers—to collectively harness their wealth of experience to support and develop the Diocese as one united body.

Furthermore, women’s groups were encouraged to carry along the Management Committee in all their endeavors, ensuring alignment with the broader vision and mission of the Diocese.

CONCLUSION

The meeting was highly successful, marked by active participation, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment to progress. The strong attendance and engagement demonstrated the readiness of women across the Diocese to collaborate with leadership in driving meaningful growth.

The meeting concluded with a closing prayer led by MC Bakare.

The CCC UK Diocese Management Committee expresses its appreciation to all attendees for their dedication and looks forward to continued partnership in building a stronger, united, and thriving Diocese.
