Interestingly, the Task Force Chairman has ordered all the Pastor International Representatives, such as M/S/E Nunayon, M/S/E Ajao, M/S/E Akindoyin and M/S/E Olarinde to immediately report to Imeko and make themselves available at any appropriate time.
The directive also includes serious punishment for anyone who fails to comply with the Task Force Committee’s order, while Celestial Church members have expressed concern about the power given to a subcommittee by the Pastor.
The establishment of the Taskforce during the era of Late Rev Bada was to monitor the countless situations where shepherds had disregarded the basic ordinances of the Church. The Taskforce committee will submit their report to the Disciplinary Committee for proper action, while Late Rev Bada will take actions after a wide consultation with Late Baba Ajanlekoko.
Sections 147 and 148 of the Church’s constitution grant the registered Board of Trustees (BOT) the authority to request reports from the General Committee, which includes all subcommittees for the purpose of investigation and implementation. However, a subcommittee does not possess the constitutional power to demand reports from other departments within the Church without the approval of the registered BOT.
Regrettably, the Taskforce Chairman has claimed to be acting on instructions from Pastor Rev EMF Oshoffa which constitutes a flagrant abuse of the Church’s laws. The current situation within the Church is truly unimaginable, as various individuals have taken positions that contradict the principles of transparency and disregard the comprehensive guidelines set forth by the Pastor Founder.
Furthermore, it is important to note that none of the Pastor International Representatives have an official office either in Imeko or Ketu. Many of these Elders, who have faithfully shepherded the Church for over 50 years are often found sitting in the Pastor’s security house due to a lack of proper arrangements made for them.
It Is imperative that we address these issues with utmost professionalism and rectify the current state of affairs within the Church.
